Gateway Enrolment
  • Enrol in Pharmacists' Gateway Canada and receive a National ID number ($340 + tax, if applicable).
Language Proficiency
  • English language proficiency may be completed at any time, prior to applying to the pharmacy regulatory authority
Academic Qualification and Knowledge Assessment
  • Successful completion of the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC) Document Evaluation ($675) and Evaluating Examination ($860)
  • Successful completion of the PEBC Qualifying Examination Parts I and II ($2620)
  • The process is different for U.S. graduates
Bridging Program
  • Not mandatory in Newfoundland and Labrador
Application to the Pharmacy Regulatory Authority (PRA)
  • Annual registration as an intern ($103.83)
Structured Practical Training
  • Successful completion of 32 weeks (1120 hours) of structured practical training (SPT)
  • Successful completion of the Newfoundland and Labrador Pharmacy Board (NLPB) registration examination ($155.75)
  • Application for registration as a pharmacist in Newfoundland and Labrador ($103.83)
  • Pharmacist annual licence dues ($940)
  • Proof of professional liability insurance
